What we’re looking for:
As the name suggests, we’re looking for writing and artwork that embodies a sense of what you’ve encountered on your journey. Transport us to the places that you’ve been. Introduce us to the people that you’ve met. Show us the obstacles that you’ve traversed.
Poetry
Send us 3-5 previously unpublished poems (that includes personal blogs or other online publications). Simultaneous submissions are accepted. While we currently do not pay contributors, published work is eligible for the Editor’s Choice award of $50.
Fiction
Send up to 6,000 words of unpublished fiction. Simultaneous submissions are accepted. We’re generally hesitant about genre fiction, and you’ll probably find a better place for sci-fi and westerns than Waypoints. While we do not currently pay contributors, published work is eligible for the Editor’s Choice award of $50.
Art & Photography
We are seeking visual art for upcoming issues of Waypoints. Please send 3-5 images of your work using the form below. Submit hi-res images of:
- Painting (works on canvas)
- Printmaking
- Photography
- Illustration (charcoal, pencil or ink)
At this time we don’t accept digital entries (photography aside).
While we do not currently pay contributors, published work is eligible for the Editor’s Choice award of $50.
Submit Your Work to Waypoints.
Please fill out the form to submit your work. Please do not place any identifying information on the document itself, only in the form fields and cover letter. We prefer that you upload all of your submissions in one document.
